Dayspring Gift Books

Are you looking for some summer reading or maybe some help developing your faith or to grow spiritually. I know I'm always looking for something that's encouraging so I was excited to receive and be able to review one of the new books available at Dayspring.

60 Promises to Pray Over Your Children is filled with prayers, scriptures, and quotes to encourage and inspire you every day. The great thing is when you finish it you can start all over again gleaning new wisdom each time.

Topics include
Promises to Protect and Heal Us
Freedom from Fear
Promise of God's Love
Sufficient to meet our needs
Knowing God
Trusting God

We all know the importance of praying over our children but sometimes we can let other things get in our way. Sometimes those things are our own worry, fear, or giving up control.  I've found when I go through the prayers and short prayers in this book it encourages me and strengthens me to know God is in control and faithful to answer my prayers. It makes it so much easier to rest and trust in Him.

I encourage you to look through the books available and see if there's one that speaks to you and the situations you're facing in your life today. At just under $10 each pick more than one and maybe some for gifts. Grab them up and then dedicate just 10 minutes each morning before life interrupts to pray and seek God first. Then watch as God works in ever circumstance working it our for your good.

Check out more books that can inspire and help you grow.

New Bible Journaling Kit + Giveaway

This post contains affiliate links. It doesn't cost you anymore to use them but helps support this blog and youtube channel which I greatly appreciate!! I've received the product for free to review but all comments and opinion are my own.

After last months Rise Up devotional I didn't know how it could get any better BUT it has!! Rise Up really spoke to my heart and where I'm at in my life and faith walk right now and it led me to trying something new. I found the website www.swtblessings.com and a daily scripture writing. June's topic is Who I am in Christ. I've been really concentrating on these scripture and speaking who God says I am each day. Imagine my delight when I opened this months kit and the title I Am just jumped out at me.

Here's a close up look at this months I Am kit
Illustrated Faith I Am Bible Journaling Kit

This months devotion I Am is written and designed my Melisa Garcia from Pie 'N the Sky. She writes a little intro that says it better than I could ever try as to what I've been learning and what you'll learn working through this 2 week devotion.

"but I learned early on that if I wanted to know who I am, I first must know the great I Am. Understanding our identity in Christ is the beginning to fulfilling our dreams. You will know who you are when you recognize whose you are. So that is my call to you. Will you take these next two weeks to dig deeper into who He is, and in turn, who that makes you?" Melisa Garcia

What perfect timing for me! I know we all struggle with who we are and what plan God has for our lives but  we must first know the Creator of us and then it will be easy to know who we are because we've been created in His image and likeness.

I'm looking forward to digging dipper in who Christ is and therefore Who I Am in Christ. Will you join me in working through this and share what God is doing in your life?

Be sure to use the hashtag #IF_IAm on all your social media posts so we can all grow together.

I also have another exciting announcement for you. Shanna Noel has created an adorable set of greeting cards that are available at Dayspring. And I have a set of 3 I'd love to give away. All the details are in the video so be sure to stay until the end and leave a comment for your chance to win a set.

Happiness (The ScrapRoom)

This post contains affiliate links. It doesn't cost you anymore to use them but helps support this blog and youtube channel which I greatly appreciate!!

I couldn't resist doing one more layout with the Bo Bunny Petal Lane collection in this months Flavor of the Month kit from The Scrap Room. I found this old photo booth pictures from way back in 1988 when hubby and I had only been married a couple of years. The die cut card was perfect to start this layout and everything else built from there.

Two of a Kind (ScrapRoom)

This post contains affiliate links. It doesn't cost you anymore to use them but helps support this blog and youtube channel which I greatly appreciate!!

Today I pulled out the BoBunny Petal Lane collection from the June Flavors of the Month kit. I'm not usually one for yellow but I'm growing to love it combined with pink! I couldn't resist scrapping this not so perfect picture of my daughter in her bright yellow socks and my hubby. She's always been his shadow but when he was recouping from surgery after breaking his leg they were inseparable. They're too cute sitting in the identical positions watching tv.

It's been a while since I've done the Freaky Fast Friday challenge but if you follow me you know I love it!! It's so quick and fun to pull a layout together using the cutting guide.

I've had a lot of questions about how I go about deciding what papers to cut what size so I turned the camera on and shared my process. This video is a bit longer because I share in depth some of my thought process while deciding what to cut then I share the full process of putting it together so grab a cup of coffee or beverage of choice and enjoy!!

Summer Fun - 14 Days of Scrapping Videos (ScrapRoom)

I'm so excited to be joining Audrey again on her youtube series. Be sure to check out her youtube channel Audrey Yeager  as she creates a layout along with a special guest artist each day for 14 days!!

I started by picking a couple of photos from last summer I really wanted to scrap and then decided I wanted to use a cut file. I found this flower one and then grabbed my Double Shot kit from The ScrapRoom and it took on a life of it's own.

The Echo Park Summer Dreams had this gorgeous painted brush stroke paper that was perfect for the cut file. It kept the layout soft and airy; perfect for summer fun!
