Let It Snow Card

I made this adorable card for the blog hop challenge at Peachykeenstamps.
The snowman is a stamp I had. I used red flocking for his hat and applied glitter to his body then added stickles for his buttons and nose.
The background is the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing template. I rubbed blue ink onto it and then ran through the cuttlebug. I just love this effect!

I pop dotted him up to add dimension. The circle and scalloped circle were cut using Winter Woodland and my cricut.

The Let it snow is a $1 stamp from Michaels and the mittens are some buttons I cut the shank off of and glued on. I think they're the perfect touch.
I hope you enjoy and as always I love to hear your comments.
Have a blessed day

This is showing how I made the title for my Year of a Million Dreams layout. I hope it's helpful and encourages you to try your hand at making your own titles. Think of all the money you can save on those chipboard letters.

Sorry the pictures a little dark. It's hard to photograph glitter.

Cricut Paper Piecing with Disney Cart Pt 2 Episode 9

Here is part 2 of the Cricut paper piecing Video. Here I'l show you how I lay it out and put together my pieces. Hopefully the tips I share will help those with questions.

Winter Woodland Embossed Card

Oh I had such fun with this card! I did the challenge from the cuttlebug challenge blog. I have never used ink on my embossing folders but that was the challenge and I have to say it was fun, fun, fun. I almost couldn't stop.

For this card I used the snowflake 1 cut from pg 32 of the Winter Woodland Cart. I cut it at 2 1/2" and did the 3 layers in different colors. I added a snowflake eyelet to the center and dew drops.

I rubbed a light blue dye ink onto my Snowflakes embossing folder then put my paper in and ran it through the Cuttlebug. What a fun effect! I'm so glad I tried this.

As always I love to hear your comments and you should try this too. It's addicting.

Have a blessed day

Cricut Paper Piecing with Disney Cart Episode 8

I've had a lot of questions about how to cut when there are several pieces and putting them all together so I made a video, actually two, to show everyone. This first video is just the cutting out of the pieces and some great tips. I will upload the 2nd video tomorrow of how to put him all together.

I chose Meeko from the Dreams Come True cart to make a birthday card for my daughter. She absolutelyy loves Meeko and I think he turned out adorable.

Here's a look at the finished card. I did this for the Just buggin challenge. The card stands up. I think it's adorable sitting up on a table to look at.

I hope this helped and I'd love to hear your comments

Christmas Cheer tree Card

Another quick simple Christmas Card. I used the tree from the Christmas Cheer cart. The noel is a clear stamp from the dollar bin at Michaels. I stamped it with embossing ink and then used silver embossing powder. I love this paper. Everything is bright and cheery. It reminds me of the Who's. You know from the Grinch Stole Christmas. I expect to see one pop up from behind the tree. LOL

I used a sketch from the scrapsketch blog. Be sure and check them out for some fabulous sketches.

Age is Only a Number Card

This is a quick little card I put together for a good friend for a very special birthday. There are dew drops on the punch outs of the border that was made using the fiskars treading water punch. The stamp is another stamp from the Humorous Birthday set from Inkadinkadoo. I just love this set. Such fun little sentiments.

The inside of the card reads "mine is unlisted".

Gypsy is coming to Michaels Oct 4

For anyone that is keeping up with the Gypsy release from Provo Craft there is finally news when it will hit Michaels.

Here is Michael's link telling about the gypsy arrival Oct. 4.

Wednesday is HSN premiere with some special bundle yet to be announced so be sure and tune in then.

Also some questions that have surfaced by users about file sharing between the Design Studio and Gypsy appear to be answered by PC. The future of DS has been at question by many due to the arrival of the Gypsy. I for one do not believe they will abandon DS; at least not any time soon.
It looks like there might be DS update at the same time as the HSN premiere which is exciting.

I think all of this is exciting news and look forward to see what all PC comes up with. I just received 3 of the new cartridges in and I believe they are the best ever released. Way to go PC! Be on the look out for new  projects and videos. I am working on lots of projects right now including some awesome Christmas cards that I'll be sharing real soon.

Stay tuned

Disney Believe layout

This is a quick layout I put together. The brackets are from Plantin Schoolbook and the title is from Tinkerbelle. I used Diamond stickles to go over the title and add some bling.

We celebrated our kids birthday at Disney and I had my husband sneek in before the kids got to our room to leave some Disney magic for them. My daughter still believes the fairies were left by Disney for her. They each received new Disney t-shirts and housekeeping had left some towel art on the bed for us so magical things still happen if you Believe.

Take a test drive of the Gypsy

I've had several ask me what I think about the Gypsy and if I'll be getting one, well here's my response.

OK, I've been holding out on the gypsy, waiting to see if it's as great as 'they' say. Check this video out! Wow, pretty impressive! Now why can't they make these changes to the Design Studio?  I really don't think I'd like working on this tiny screen. It seems they've made it easy enough but I'm thinking if you're working on a larger project it could get really frustrating.
I guess I need to find one I can hold in my hand and see how it easy it is to work on such a small screen. Now for all those techno savvy people surfing the web on their iphones I can see this as a must have product. For us more touchy, feely, visual people we'll just have to wait and see. ;o)

Here are some quick facts and figures:
Size - 8.5" x 3.75" x 1.3"
Weight - 11 ounces
Screen Size - 4.7", 16:9, 480 x 272
Stylus Length - 3.75"
Storage - approximately 7000 Cartridges, 10000+ Designs
Battery Life - 4 hrs cont. 18 hrs int.
Compatible with all Cricut machines and cartridges
2 full content cartridges preloaded

Go here for  a list of FAQ

I think another big thing to consider is if you may want to sell your cartridges at a later date they cannot be loaded to another gypsy therefore lowering the value of your cart.

Hope that helps answer some of your questions about the Gypsy. As for me, I will be keeping a close eye on the release and what others say about it.

Have a blessed day

Disney Pinocchio Village Haus

What a fun layout this turned out to be. I am absolutely in love with my cricut! I just can't seen to scrap without it.

The circle was cut from george.

The scalloped edge was done with the DS and Plantin Schoolbook.

The title was cut using SCAL and the blackChancery Font I found free online. With SCAL it is so easy to type your font and cut it out and then cut a shadow from it. Quick and easy to make a big wow on your layouts.

I cut the flower at the bottom from Accent Essentials and then added a brad through the middle. A little Diamond Stickles and it zinged.

I used the Autumn Leaves Flourish stamp behind a couple of the flowers for just a little more flow. I used Lime Green Stickles to go over some of the stems and swirls on the paper and added a few of my own. I really like the bling it added.

The food here at Pinocchio's is fabulous. I absolutely adore the panini. I hear it's gone now though. Boo Hoo. The pizza and salad were good too and a really good value at that. Of course we were on the free Dining so it didn't matter. LOL

I'd love for you to leave me a comment and tell me what you think or your favorite places to eat at Disney!

Have a blessed day

Disney Magic in the Air

I wanted to do a layout to introduce each park and this is what I came up with for the Magic Kingdom. I had some random photos of the park I used and our family photo in front of the castle.

I used the mickey head cut from the mickey cart around the family photo.

The map and time guide is tucked in a little pocket I created behind the photo.

The bookplates are from the Fabulous Finds cart.

The clipboard is cut from the Fabulous Finds cart to add my journaling on to.

The mickey head balloon eyelets were some I picked up a couple of years ago at the CK convention.

Hope you enjoy and as always I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Organizing Cuttlebug Folders Video Episode 7

Disney Got Dreams?

I absolutely love this photo. We were early to MGM and wandering around when we noticed all the characters coming out of a building to go to their posts. The cast members stopped to pose and take a picture of them all together. I couldn't resist. I walked right up and snapped one too. I don't think they appreciated it very much but I snapped it and left.

The layout was a lot of fun to do. I cut the title from Plantin Schoolbook. I used my xyron to run my letters through and then applied the glitter. I then ran them back through on the other side to adhere to my layout. Very messy but I had to have the bling for this layout. Be sure and check out the video showing how to do the title.

As always I love to read your comments.

Have a blessed day!

This is a quick little card I put together for a special little boy who turned 3 recently. I used some more DCWV paper from an old stack and another stamp from the Humorous Birthday set from Inkadinkadoo.
Hope you enjoy.

Disney Crystal Palace

This layout just makes me smile and remember visiting my pals at the Crystal Palace.

The paper is from Nana's Nursery stack from Joann's.

The scalloped cut was cut at 10" and on center point using the Accent Essentials cart.

Font is from the Pooh Font cart. I wish the shadow had been a little bigger to show more and I intended on putting the letters on irregularly but forgot when I glued them on. Oh well, I'm in love with the layout anyways. LOL

Hope you enjoy and I love to hear your comments so please take a momment

Disney All Star Pool

This is my family enjoying the fun at games at the pool on our last Disney trip. I did this layout for a Disney Challenge but I was too late finishing it. I still need to put my journaling block on.
The three flamingos were some eyelets I received a while back when I was doing swaps with one of my groups. I thought they were perfect for this layout. I love the way they look and they were so easy to attach with the crop a dial. I have a video showing how to use this I'll be uploading so watch for it. It was my first time using it and I couldn't believe how easy it set this type of eyelet.
Here's a close up of the title. I put crystal effects on the top of the letters to mimic water but I wasn't happy with the overall look still so I added some tiny crystal beads. It's still not the look I was going for but overall I love the layout and I have two more pages done for the Disney album. Yeah me!!
Have an awesome day! Please leave a comment. I love to hear from everyone.

Disney Swiss Family Treehouse

I just love the way this layout came together. I used lots of different products on it.

The owl is from the Happily Ever After cart. (Sorry for the blurry picture, not sure what happened.)

The circles and scalloped border are from the Accent Essential cart. I did the scallops in DS so I could size them the way I wanted.

The title is cut with SCAL and Plain Black font from Dafont.com

The stamps are from two different sets. The swirls are Autumn Leaves Swirls and the swirl with the flowers came from Scrappy Cat Flights of Fancy. I love all the swirls along the left side. It added just the right finishing touch.

I used lots of Chestnut Roan chalk box ink on everything.

I think that's about it.

I hope you like and I love to hear your comments

Big Bite Crop a Dile Information Sheet and UPdate

I've had many requests for the information sheet for the Big Bite Cropadile. Unfortunately it's a folded up paper in the bottom of the package that mistakenly gets thrown away.  I hope this will help everyone get those Big Bites out and using them.

Click here for the pdf file.

I was also asked where I get my eyelets. Most I have purchased at the CKC convention from the eyelet outlet booth. They do have a website you can order from. The splats and flamingos were actually received in a swap that I hosted a few years ago. I suggest googling shaped eyelets and I'm sure you'll come up with many web stores.
