Disney Hundred Acre Wood

This is another layout with the old photos I found. I absolutely adore how these pages turned out.

The Hundred Acre Wood sign is from Pooh and Friends. I ran my cat eye ink pads across them horizontally hoping for a grain look. I think it turned out pretty well. The butterfly is from the same cart and the flower is from Plantin Schoolbook. I inked everything up again for this page.
I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by to have a look. I appreciate all the comments so please take a minute to leave your thoughts.

Disney Hugs

Another Disney layout is done for my album. These are actually photos from our first Disney trip that I found in a folder with items I had planned on scrapping them with. Of course that was a few years ago and I have funner things to work with now.

I used my cricut and my new Pooh carts. The title was cut with Pooh Font and inked real well. The worm was from Pooh and friends. I think he's soo cute! The flower is from the Plantin cart. I sanded all my paper and inked around the edges.

I apologize the photo is blurry. I didn't realize it until it was loading.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Disney Stars and Motor Cars Take 3

My final page for the parade. I think. LOL This page is quite simple. I cut the license plate with the Mickey cart out of black and used gold metallic paper for the backing. I used two silver stars for the bolts in the license.
Thanks again for stopping by and again leave some comments for me. I still have tons of Disney photos to scrap!
Have an awesome day!

Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade Take 2

I had so many pictures from the parade I had to keep making pages. This is one of our favorite parades at Disney.
I cut the filmstrip and the Mickey heads from the Mickey and Friends cart

Here's a close up of the Disney Mickey head. I was afraid the letters might be too small to cut out well but they worked great!
Thank you for stopping by and checking out my layouts. I love to hear your comments so please leave them. It helps to keep me motivated.
Have an awesome day and go scrap!

Disney Stars & Motor Cars Parade

This was such a fun layout to work on. I really like how it turned out. I used my cricut and Design Studio again for almost everything. I used Mickey and Friends and DS to size the film strip to fit across the page.

Ticket stubs and Mickey heads are from the Mickey cart.

The title I cut from Jasmine on gold metallic paper and shadowed with black.
Thank you for checking out my new layouts and I love to hear your comments so please leave them. Have an awesome day and I hope you scrap some today!!

Disney All Star Music

Between all the college stuff I've been scrapping as much as possible. Just a little here and a little there but I have been able to accomplish some.

These are photos from our 2006 Disney trip so I dug back for the pictures. I still need to print my journaling and adhere it to the bottom left.

I cut the title with my cricut and Design Studio and the Plantin Schoolbook cart. This was my first try using the endcap feature. It cut great except it didn't cut the straight line across the letters. I used the tall ball font which doesn't have the end cap feature. Lesson learned for future use. It was easy enough to put it on my cutter and cut though. I stretched the design so much I couldn't use the shadow feature without really tweaking soI hand cut the yellow shadow. It still needed something so I cut the yellow stars and added them on top with pop dots. It really made a lot of difference.

Here's close ups of page 1. Music Notes are from Stretch Your Imagination and the arrow is from Accent Essentials.
And close up page 2. Mickey head is from the Mickey Font cart and the bracket is from Plantin.
Thanks for checking out my pages and I love to receive comments. Have an awesome day.

Our Trip to SMU and the search for a college

I have been very busy doing college tours with my son and not a lot of time to post so I thought I'd let you know what I've been up to. I have some layouts going and will post them soon but in the meantime; family life.

Our visit to SMU was fast and furious. We drove up Sunday evening, checked in to the hotel at 1 am, got up at 7 and ate breakfast in the hotel. We had Texas shaped waffles. You've got to love Texas. We spent the day at SMU touring the university. It is a gorgeous campus and they have the nicest residence halls we've seen on any campus! We ate lunch on campus and I have to say it was delicious. It was cafeteria style with lots of choices. I chose the organic bar and had a delicious salad and some herb and olive oil pasta. My weakness is chips and dip. They had 3 awesome dips with homemade chips and then I had an ice cream cone to go while we toured some more buildings. The kids had cheeseburgers and some great fries. Phillip had some pork loin which was dry and some calizone which I thought was good too. He didn't care for it because of the onions. LOL

When we were finished with all the college stuff we walked around and took photos of my kids and then headed back home. I got some great photos when they were cooperating. You think they'd be used to it by now and I gave them fair warning when I saw all of the photo ops on campus.

Dinner consisted of Jack in the Box. I had a fajita chicken pita. Very tasty. Joseph had a burger on sourdough which he thoroughly enjoyed. Phillip had a burger and unfortunately again he wasn't satisfied. I think it was an off day for his taste buds. Candace held out for the DAiry Queen 10 miles further down the road and of course we had ice cream so she wouldn't be eating alone.

You know it really sounds like all we did was eat but we did enjoy our tour of SMU. It was beautiful, a great school with lots of opportunity, and a really impressive offer for Joseph to come but I'm delighted to say that it just didn't woo him so my baby boy will be staying in Oklahoma.

I walked away with a new appreciation for the universities we have right here in Oklahoma. As much as I love Texas and was excited about visiting him there it was a huge relief once we were there and he said it wasn't the place for him. So for now we're back to OSU and TU. Both are awesome universities in my opinion but OSU seems to be winning with Joseph right now. We will have to buy hubby a whole new wardrobe. LOL

Organization

Organization is a place I could really use some help. Since I've moved to my own little space upstairs I've gradually been trying to organize all my stuff so that I'll actually use it up. Novel idea huh? LOL I've turned into more of a collector the last year but that is changing. I found this great article and thought I'd share with everyone in case your struggling like I am.

I actually organized my paper this weekend and hope to conquer my scraps then I'm onto embellishments.
Have a great weekend
