Gift Box with SCAL

This box was cut using my cricut.  You could use any box from the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More to make a similar box or package.
I punched a hole on two of the flaps to thread the ribbon through and then tied a bow. Looks fabulous!
The tag and the Ho Ho Ho was made using the Very Merry Tags cart that was one of the limited editions. It has some fabulous cuts on it.
I hope you enjoy this project even though it's past Christmas. It would work fabulously for a birthday gift or any theme that you wanted though so I decided to share it.

County Fair Layout

I am working through some old photos trying to get some albums done. My son started college and I'm not even close to having an album done for my kids. That means for a while that's what I'll be posting. I'm using my cricut a lot but I'm trying to also use up a lot of my older stash to make room for the new.
This layout is my kids with all their ribbons they won from the County Fair. I used the Mickey Font for the title and Locker Talk for the ribbon. I made the title in Design Studio so I could weld the letters together.
The red ric rac is from my stash as well as the blue plaid paper. I thought it was a perfect look for a fair layout.
I'm going to journal around the layout on the white paper. The bad thing about waiting so long to scrap photos is you don't remember a lot of the little details you would if it had happened more recently.
I used a sketch for this layout. One of the Disney groups I belong to is doing a 52 week sketch challenge this year and I'm hoping to complete it. I love to work with sketches because it keeps me out of the ruts I get myself into. There are some great sketches on the web if you do a search for them.

Blizzard Fun

Well it seems it's been one thing and then another to keep me away from my blog. I had surgery and couldn't go upstairs to my studio for several weeks and then my husband had surgery, then when it seemed all was quiet on the home front the heat quit working upstairs. It took several weeks to get it fixed and going. Thankfully it's warm and toasty now because we just got hit with our first blizzard! LOL We are buried in snow and the temperatures are not going anywhere. It's pretty for a short time but I am ready for it all to go away. My husband is in construction so it's really not great on business.
My daughter and hubby did have some fun in all of it and I'd thought I'd share some pics. We don't have any hills close to our house but lots of wide open fields and one fun dip in the road. Who needs hills when you've got a daddy with a 4wheeler. They had a blast, for a while anyways until it was too cold to stay out any longer.

P.S. This note has been ready to post since Christmas. My bad. I've needed to upload photos and just now got around to it. I promise I am getting back into my groove and will start regularly posting again.
Thanks for all your support
