Scrapbook Haul (Paper Issues)

I'm so excited! I received my order from Paper Issues! I can't wait to start playing with Shimelle's Starshine collection. It's going to be perfect for my daughters  Disney photos. I picked up a few more things as well. I am well stocked for a while; at least until the next round of CHA lines come in. LOL

Ohana Means Family (Paper Issues)

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a layout I did for the Paper Issues Creative Team. I used the fabulous Fancy Pants Happy Place collection. When I saw this flowered print it immediately reminded me of the Ohana restaurant in WDW. My daughter and her roommates had went all together for breakfast and so I decided this photos was a perfect fit.

Here's a look at the process

I did some hidden journalling on a Project Life card and tucked it up under the photo since it contained all the girls names. This little flower die cut from the ephemera pack was perfect to staple onto the end of it so you could pull it out and read.

For the bottom cluster I tied the three feathers together then tucked a few more things in around the title. The title was made with some chipboard thickers, some Simple Stories alpha, and another piece from the Happy Place ephemera pack.

I'm loving puffy stickers so I couldn't resist this cute little hello since they were all getting to know each other.

January Java Journal Day 20 (Paper Issues)

Are you ready for another few minutes to sit and be creative? I'm hosting todays January Java Journal at Paper Issues. If you're following along in the journal you can stick with the books topic of 'Can't live without' or Paper Issues topic '100% Confident' or you can do something totally all on your own.

I'm often telling people that I'm convinced that everyone was created to be creative in some form or another. It's manifested in many different forms over the years for me but I've always been creative in some way along with my entire family. What areas can you see in your own life that creativity has manifested? I encourage you to take a moment an journal about it and while your at it make it pretty! ;o)

I used a card and flower die cut from the JJJ kit and fussy cut the coffee cup and camera from some of the paper. The washi and alphabet stickers came from my stash.

If you need any scrappy supplies or just want to shop for some pretty new things use discount code TinaGale to save 20% off your Paper Issues purchase. There's lots of new products coming into the store!!

Happy (Shimelle's Perfect Collection)

Hello scrappy friends! I'm back today with another episode of Shimelle's Perfect Collection and one of my starting points. Sorry there's been a gap but with the holidays and working on my December album this got shoved to a back burner.

I started with a classic full background of two half sheets of paper divided down the middle. You can do so many things with this back ground as well as turn it where it's vertical instead of horizontal for different orientation of photos.

A look at the process

I had fun with this little printed embellishment to help complete my title and add some interest to all the straight lines in this layout.

I added in some circle embellishments to each cluster to soften the lines as well. Including some enamel dots and sprinkled mist.

If you've missed any of the other layouts or my supplies be sure to check them out.

Shine (CMG Scraplift)

Today Sara and I are up on the Crafty Maven Getaway for Scraplift Saturday. We are both big fans of Nancy Damiano so decided to lift her. This is a layout I've had pinned for a long time. I just loved the diagonal background and pops of red that drew your eye around the page.

And this is the inspiration piece this week.

Now for my layout. I used the Jen Hadfield paper for my background. I just love that floral and wood grain.
