I recently participated in an online crop where one of the challenges was to make 6 cards from 6x6 pads. There was a great cutting guide and tutorial we were supplied so it was super easy.
These are the 6 I made with the Studio Calico Brighton Pier 6x6 pad. I used some leftover embellishments in my tray that sits on my table and found some leftover die cuts in my stash.
I will definitely be doing this again. It was a great way to use up any leftover 6x6 papers you have and a lot of leftover embellishments.
Today I'm back with another sketch challenge from Nuts About Sketches. I have to be honest and it was really hard for me to cut my pictures out in circles and I'll probably not do it again anytime soon. LOL I could have easily used patterned paper circles and put photos over them but I wanted to try it. I've just been around long enough to remember the good ole days of cropping photos in all kinds of shapes and never leaving them whole to struggle with this one.
And a close up of the title area. I added the title Two Big with some old alpha buttons from my stash and added the boy wonder card from a cut apart sheet.
The little party hat and ribbon was from a gift that I had put in my stash. I thought it matched perfect to add some dimension to this layout.
Most of the papers are some older paper from Lilly Bee. sorry I didn't keep track of what I was using for this layout.
Today I have a one page layout using a sketch from the Hip Kit challenge. The sketch comes from Creative Scrappers.
I went back in my stash for some fall paper that was brighter to match with the happy feel and decorations of Disney. This photo is from our recent trip to visit my son and so I played with the title a bit of Hello pumpkin, our nickname for him.
Today I'm working with a fabulous sketch from Stuck Sketches. I pulled some new product and some older stash to scrap these fabulous photos of my hubby with his hand caught in the chocolate bins in his favorite shop in Epcot. LOL
If you want to watch me scrap step by step watch the video below.

I had almost completed the layout when I really decided I needed to add the stitching so since I couldn't take it to the sewing machine I just grabbed my pen and did some faux stitching. so much better.
The multi colored canvas alpha goes way back in my stash but it was perfect for these photos. It reminds me so much of all the different chocolate wrappers in the bins of the shop.

Today I have a fun layout I did about my hubby. I used a fabulous sketch from Sketch Savvy by Susan Stringfellow. she has some fabulous sketches and does beautiful work so check them out.
I used the beautiful Crate Paper Kiss Kiss paper line. I love all the pink, creams and neutral browns in this paper line. I kept it all pretty soft and neutral but tried to add a manly touch by using a dark woodgrain background and the neutral tans. I love how it turned out. The journalling goes on the open place but I photographed it before hand since I wanted to keep that private.
Here is the process video if you want to watch me create it.

The photos are from our never ending cycle of ice and snow in 2013. It may not look like much to a lot of people but when ice is involved it's a whole new ball game. I'm so over winter and ready to fly south and we haven't even had too much of this to mess with yet.
I have one more layout with the fabulous Hopscotch paper collection and this weeks Nuts About Sketches sketch #353 .
These are pictures of our Disney trip when they had just opened up part of the New Fantasyland including Rapunzel's tower. I thought the sticker with Best Day Ever was perfect to set this page up so that is what started it all.

Today I'm hosting a challenge with a giveaway on my blog, facebook, and youtube channel. You can enter on any of these and you can enter as many times as you like. You can combine the challenge with other challenges as well but it must be a new layout.
My challenge to you is to scrap about a friend or friends. Let's celebrate the friends in our lives because without them life would just not be as enriched and blessed.
This is my layout and it goes with one I featured on Wednesday. This great group of ladies are some of my online peeps and I've been fortunate to meet many of them and even more blessed to scrap with them. This is from May National Scrapbooking Day last year at a special little store in Springfield MO, Scrapbook Generation.
Link up your layout and I'll be drawing a winner Jan 22, 2015.

Today I have a fabulous layout using a sketch from Paper Issues. You can download a cut file for the background at Paper Issues. I didn't realize that so I made my own. LOL Easy peasy since it was just circles.
I used cork shapes from the Elle's Studio Sycamore Lane collection to play along with Paper Issues Popping the cork challenge as well.
And some closeups

Today I'm trying to finish off the papers from my desk that are leftover from recent layouts. I think i ended up with only two small pieces on my desk. What a great feeling.
This is the first of two layouts that I did documenting a special group of ladies that I had the privilege of spending National Scrapbooking Day with last May. You'll see the next layout along with a little challenge and chance to win a scrappy prize on Friday so be sure to hop on back and play along.
Most of the papers are from the Maggie Holmes Open Book Collection and from the Paper Camellia November kit.

Welcome to another sketch by Nuts About Sketches. I really had a lot of fun with this one. These photos are quite old, all the way back to 1991. I'm so glad I don't scrap chronological so I can reminisce over old photos and days gone by.
I have a process video for this layout as well.

Are you ready for another throwback? Can you believe I even had this one typed up but just never posted it? I don't know what was up with that but enjoy!
I'm back with another 6x6 paper layout from Allison Davis class. If you've missed the other just check back or try the 6x6 label on the side to find all the layouts.
I skipped again so this is for sketch 8 and surprise surprise it's another one pager. I have a pocket page for the other side with all the other photos from the exhibit and a journalling card.
I wasn't too sure what to do with this page when I started but in the end I really like how it turned out and the amount of old stash I used tickles me pink. LOL
The letters for the title are some of my original stash I think but it was perfect for the icy feel of the layout. The same thing goes for all the metal snowflake brads and eyelets. I added in some stamped images to finish it off. I'm really trying to incorporate more stamping into my layouts.
