Month In Review Album

How would you like to be totally caught up on scrapbooking your photos? I used to think it could never happen but recently I think I've found a way that I just might succeed in my lifetime. I'm a member of a very talented and giving message board where a fellow member walked us through her process of making a month in review album every year. It sounded too good to be true but I soon found out it's totally doable and something I will be doing from here on out.

She shared with a fellow blog some of what she shared with us so you can all give it a try too. A condensed version of the Month in Review Online Class presented by Janet (Cherrypicker) can be found at this link.

I started out prepping all my pages and chose to try and use up my stash instead of buying new product. I have a lot of CTMH leftovers from workshops and classes so I pulled the paper packs that had bigger pieces and got started. I'm surprised how much I still have left over after making an entire album!

Next I went on a hunt for the perfect sketch. This in truth was the hardest part. I normally scrap 4x6 photos so I wanted one that I could use that size or only slightly cropped since I didn't have a way to print smaller photos easily. ( I remedied that and now I have a selphy printer!!)

I have a pinterest board if you'd like to see some sketches that I considered using

I worked up a mock layout to see what would work and what might not as well as would I like twelve of them.

Once I decided on the final changes I cut all my pieces for each month and then sorted them into page protectors into my album so they'd be ready to go when I had my pictures at the end of the month.

I used my cricut and Designer Calendar to cut each of the months title and any embellishments I knew I wanted to use.

I was so excited how quick all this came together and didn't want to wait so I pulled pictured from 2012 and sorted in my page protectors.

Over the next two weeks I'll be sharing my completed 2012 Month in Review album. First up is my title page which I used  the challenge sketch 51 from the  Sketch n Scrap Blog. Be sure to check out their sketch challenge!

A few close up details.

Supplies used:
CTMH papers
