Month In Review - December

Well we've come to the end of my album; December. I will have memorabilia pages at the end but I won't bore you with those. I hope you've enjoyed a peek into this process and try it for yourself. I know I will continue to do it for a long time. It is so quick and satisfying to see a complete year and all our memories preserved to enjoy by the whole family.

Some details

I love these embellishments. They were on our While Supplies Last section a while back and bought a slew full. They're so pretty!
Be sure to check the WSL section often for great buys like this one.

I had a little girls get away last weekend and was able to prep all of 2014 pages so I'll be sharing those soon. I look forward to sharing with you this year my layout for each month. I hope you'll give it a try and join me here as we work on them together.

Month In Review - November

Are you ready for the last two layouts? This is November. Again it was really nice to alter the sketch to fit the photos I had.

some details
I pulled out a lot of stamps and used on my pages. Sometimes I get in a hurry and forget to use them so it was nice to have them pulled and add them to my pages.

Month In Review - October

This was another fun page for me. My kids share the same birthday so it's a big hoopla every year although the older they get the harder it is to get us all together. In fact those days me over for good now. sniff
At least I have my memories preserved to remember the good ole days.

some details

this little cupcake has been in my stash for a few years. I made it for a layout and it was a bit too small so I made a bigger one for that layout and hung onto this one. so glad I did. It's perfect for this layout.

Month In Review - September

Here is September. Again it was another month that everything seemed to revolve around a particular event but there were so many random stories to tell that would have never made it on a typical page so it's nice to have them documented here.

Month In Review - June

This was a relatively light month for pictures but I still had plenty to share. I took time to scrap about my new tote bags for scrapping and preparing for my first CTMH convention.

Month In Review Album

How would you like to be totally caught up on scrapbooking your photos? I used to think it could never happen but recently I think I've found a way that I just might succeed in my lifetime. I'm a member of a very talented and giving message board where a fellow member walked us through her process of making a month in review album every year. It sounded too good to be true but I soon found out it's totally doable and something I will be doing from here on out.

She shared with a fellow blog some of what she shared with us so you can all give it a try too. A condensed version of the Month in Review Online Class presented by Janet (Cherrypicker) can be found at this link.

I started out prepping all my pages and chose to try and use up my stash instead of buying new product. I have a lot of CTMH leftovers from workshops and classes so I pulled the paper packs that had bigger pieces and got started. I'm surprised how much I still have left over after making an entire album!

Next I went on a hunt for the perfect sketch. This in truth was the hardest part. I normally scrap 4x6 photos so I wanted one that I could use that size or only slightly cropped since I didn't have a way to print smaller photos easily. ( I remedied that and now I have a selphy printer!!)

I have a pinterest board if you'd like to see some sketches that I considered using

I worked up a mock layout to see what would work and what might not as well as would I like twelve of them.

Once I decided on the final changes I cut all my pieces for each month and then sorted them into page protectors into my album so they'd be ready to go when I had my pictures at the end of the month.

I used my cricut and Designer Calendar to cut each of the months title and any embellishments I knew I wanted to use.

I was so excited how quick all this came together and didn't want to wait so I pulled pictured from 2012 and sorted in my page protectors.

Over the next two weeks I'll be sharing my completed 2012 Month in Review album. First up is my title page which I used  the challenge sketch 51 from the  Sketch n Scrap Blog. Be sure to check out their sketch challenge!

A few close up details.

Supplies used:
CTMH papers
CTMH B1431 Reel Life stamp set
CTMH D1555 All the Details stamp set
CTMH B1433 Family Photo (retired hostess set)

I'm in the process of prepping another set of layouts with another sketch for 2014 that I'll be sharing throughout the year. I hope you'll come back to see the rest of my pages!
