Tis the Season: 12 Days of Holiday Scrapping Videos

I'm thrilled to be joining Audrey Yeager and 11 other awesome Youtubers in this joint venture to bring you some Christmas Scrapbooking inspiration!! I grabbed my December Double Shot kit from The ScrapRoom thinking The Merry and Bright Collection from Elle's Studio would be perfect.

I found this Santa in his sleigh in my Silhouette cut files and really wanted to work him in. It took some playing around but in the end I adore how this all turned out and so glad to have these photos documented for my daughter.

Tis The Season (CTMH)

I love a quick layout and especially when it means I'm getting older photos documented. I was inspired by a layout by fellow consultant Brenda Rose to create this layout. I used the City Sidewalks Workshop Your Way and a sketch from Make It From Your Heart Vol 2.

Is It Too Early To Talk Christmas?

I don't know about you but it seems like Christmas sneaks up on me every year. I have grand plans of all kinds of projects and then I get busy and don't have time to get them done. I'm getting a jump on it this year. I wanted to create a new wreath for my front door and when I saw these awesome letters as part of Daysprings $10 Flash Sale I knew I had to have them. They were perfect for what I had in mind.

Hubby and I went to Hobby Lobby and started shopping for supplies. I found a plain wreath and since we live in a farm house I wanted it to be rustic looking. I found the perfect plaid ribbon to create a bow and then the hunt was on for some sprigs to decorate.

They had these perfect sprigs of burlap poinsettias and jingle bells. It made it so easy! Almost too easy.

In a matter of minutes I had this beautiful wreath created and it's even prettier than I imagined it would be. The letters were a perfect touch. I simply ran a wire through the hooks already on the back of them and wired it into the wreath.

I love that I could easily unwire and move the letters to a shelf to stay up the rest of the year.

Be sure to check out the $10 Flash Sale! It includes journals, more letterpress block words, home decor items, jewelry, and even dishes! It's the perfect time to start getting some Christmas gifts for the ones you love!!

  • $10 Surprise Sale starting Monday, 8/22 through Sunday, 8/28.

The new Illustrated Faith kit  Through Christ  is also available starting 8/22 as well so pick it up at the same time.  Free shipping with $50

Merry & Bright (CMG)

Hello peeps! Today I'm back at the Crafty Maven Getaway for Sketch it Thursday. You know I love my sketches. I found this great sketch with 4 photos all offset and knew it was what I wanted to use.

I had some leftover papers from the Cocoa Vanilla Tis the Season collection I wanted to try and finish off. I pulled some Christmas photos from the vault and went for it.

December Daily: Intro Supplies and Storage

I've decided to jump on the December album bandwagon. I've always wanted to but we just don't do enough every day to make a very interesting album. In steps Shimelle's Journal Your Christmas Class. She gives prompts to journal past and present Christmases. This I can do!

Here's a little look at some of the product I decided to work with. I have a ton of Christmas product because I love it but I just don't use it up at the rate I buy it. Can you relate? LOL I decided to pull from my stash and just buy a few little things to perk it all up and give me my Christmas fix.

I'll also give you a look at how I'm organizing it all. Now if I could just figure out how to keep it this organized while I'm creating!

If you've thought about doing one I'd encourage you to check out Journal Your Christmas and if you've already started share your albums with me. I'd love to see!

Be Merry - MSAM 1/5/15

Today I'm up at My Scraps and More with another challenge. We have new challenges every day so be sure to hop over and check them out.

My challenge is Mix it Up Recipe Challenge - I chose 3 of my favorite things to work with right now - Pretty patterned paper, enamel dots and my new silhouette. You can use any die cutter or dies. If you don't have either feel free to use any die cut. For your patterned paper I want you to pick something with great colors and patterns like the Elle's Studio Good Cheer paper that I used and then of course grab some enamel dots to finish it up. If you don't have enamel dots feel free to use something similar like sequins or you could even use stickles. Just have fun with the challenge and then hop over to My Scraps and More and enter it in the challenge.

Here's my layout. I used two of the free files from silhouette that they offered in December. Be sure to go grab the free file every week that they offer.

Here is the process video for this layout.
