Wonderland Makeover

I repurposed this little box quite a while back but never got around to showing it so I thought I'd share with you today.
I love storage, organizing, and containers so you'd think I'd be really organized. Not. ;o)

This little box goes with me when I set up at shows and sits out in my studio with samples, stamp sets, or embellishments, whatever I'm showcasing at the time.

It started as a halloween box that I picked up at Hobby Lobby when they mark everything down 75% off. I think I paid about $1.50 for it. Steal!!

I removed the ribbon and of course put it with my stash to reuse. Then I sanded it down just enough to get the slick finish off the outsides. I left the inside alone.

Then I traced the sides onto my paper. This is the retired Wonderland B&T from Close to my Heart. Love it!

I used modge podge to adhere the paper to the box. You can put it over the top when it's dry to give added durability to the finish if you like. I found some brown ribbon and thread it through the holes and tied a bow.

How easy was that? Very! It didn't take long at all and I got a fabulous everyday box I can use year round for so many different things. I hope you enjoyed and be sure to check out the after season sales for items that can be repurposed.

CTMH July Specials

All this month you can get the Circus Alphabet stamp set for only $5 through my website

It comes with a fabulous Uppercase and lowercase alphabet perfect for titles on layouts or sentiments on cards. There's plenty of space to color them in for added pizzaz.
