I'm hosting one of the 15 challenges this weekend at the Paper Issues Spring Crop. If you're not on our Facebook page be sure to hop over and get ready to have some fun and scrap for some fab prizes!!
My challenge is the March into Spring. You must use flowers on your layout. They can be any type but just get them on there! Enter your layout on the Paper Issues Friends and Fans page under my challenge to win $10 gift card to the store.
I'm using the Simple Stories Carpe Diem line to scrap a photo of my daughter. I just love the beautiful pinks and aquas against the black. Of course I had to add some gold in!

I'm sharing this layout I created today on the Paper Issues blog. I used the beautiful new Pebbles Spring Fling collection. I love my 6x6 pads and how you can have all the patterns to play with. I grabbed a piece from the Walnut Grove collection for my background and everything else is from the the Spring Fling collection.
I chose to work with this great sketch from Kat. It's been a long time since I worked with circles so I thought it would be fun.
I love working with 6x6 pads so this was a perfect sketch to pull out the My Minds Eye My Story collection. Be sure to check out Clique Kits challenge.
I decided to have a little fun today and get messy; well as messy as I want to get. LOL I used a Heidi Swapp stencil and some distress inks to create my background then dropped some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine on it. For the photo I used the beautiful new Pink Paislee C'est la vie to do a messy mat stack. It's such a shame you can't see more of the gorgeous paper.
I have a beautiful layout I did a couple of weeks ago for Valentine's Day. I grabbed a free file from the Paper Issues store. Yes that's right! There are a lot of free files for you in the store.
I cut it out of white cardstock and then went through my scrap bin looking for pink papers with a touch of aqua. As you can tell I had plenty. LOL
Once I got the pie shapes backed I took it to my sewing machine and made some stitches through it and around my layout. Then I grabbed some love embellishments and quickly finished it up.
and some close ups

I have a layout using the new Simple Stories Heart collection today. It's colors are just beautiful and even though it was more a memorial theme I couldn't resist the colors. I went a total different direction than the theme and scrapped a picture of my daughter. I did a little different than my normal design as well and went vertical. I love how it turned out.
I wanted to keep all the embellishments in a horizontal line to complement the vertical design. I pulled all kinds of embellishments and layered them all up.

This week on the Crafty Maven Getaway Youtube channel we're having a throwback to Two Peas in a Bucket Garden Girls. Most would think I would choose Shimelle and I really thought I was but I ran across this video by Paige Evans and changed my mind. I figure I talk about Shimelle enough and feature her quite often as my inspiration and so this was a nice little challenge for me.
Here's a look at my layout
And now a look at Paige's layout. I kept very true to her layout style and design but went with the colors and stars from the inspiration piece this week
Supplies used
Ribbons from my stash
Scraps
Fancy Pants Happy Place ephemera pack and puffy stickers

Hello scrappy friends! I'm back today with another episode of Shimelle's Perfect Collection and one of my starting points. Sorry there's been a gap but I've been happily working on other projects. LOL
I started with a classic full background of two half sheets of paper divided down the middle. You can do so many things with this back ground as well as turn it where it's vertical instead of horizontal for different orientation of photos.
