CTMH Great Job cards

Today I thought I'd share a couple of cards we created at Regionals. Both cards use the Scholastic & Dakota paper packs but I used opposite sides of the paper and different colors of inks to totally change the look of the card. I love CTMH double sided paper!

CTMH & All About Me

How often do you scrap about you? If you're like me and I know most are the answer is never. I mean you're lucky to find me in pictures because I'm always the one behind the camera. We all know that needs to change but we seldom do anything to change it. Thanks to CTMH I now have a page all about me. LOL

While we were at Regional Celebrations they took all of our pics the first day and told us we would be using it later. Well later they gave us a piece of paper with several fill in the blank sentences beginning with I. That's where my heart starts beating and my palms sweating because I have the hardest time journaling let alone writing about myself. They didn't give us much time and I was determined to get something down so it's not the neatest and I wished I'd put it on something else and then copied over later but of course I would have second guessed some answers and tried to improve on them so in  a way I'm glad I didn't. This is me on the fly and tells what's really in my heart; my family, my Savior, my creativity, family, friends, & church.

What would your page say? I challenge you to pick up a pen, put on a song, and write; but no longer than the song plays or even less. See what you come up with.

Make a page and put it in your album so you're family will always know what was in your heart.

Dauber Technique for color transitions

I shared a version of this card this summer but I thought I'd highlight it again. I made 50 of these to swap with my fellow consultants at convention so while they look very detailed it is a quick technique to do. By using our sponge daubers and dye based inks you can achieve this soft and transition of colors effortlessly.

Here's Monica & Christine sharing how to do the technique and some samples of projects you can make using them.

St. Louis and CTMH Regional Celebrations

Last week was CTMH's Regional Celebrations and we decided to make a mini family vacation out of it so hubby and daughter went with me. We decided to go to the St. Louis Zoo because we had heard great things about it and it was free. Well we soon found out there's nothing free about the St. Louis Zoo except walking through the gate but of course you had to pay $15 to park before you could do that. LOL

 We were very impressed with their landscaping and foliage. I took several photos of the flowers and scenery. It was gorgeous! There were also several statues throughout that were very impressive. I loved these guys at the entrance. It reminded me of my two kiddos. If you look closely the one seal is spraying the other one with water. Typical siblings. LOL

While I was in classes they went downtown to several museums and site seeing doing things that my daughter wanted to do like the Art Museum. Hubby didn't think he was going to enjoy that one but he really got into it. I'm sad I missed it. Another day they did more of hubby's things which included a trip to Bass Pro & Cabellas. It's a good thing they have Starbucks to keep my daughter satisfied!

On our final day it was my day! I had never been to Archiver's and it was top on my list. I LOVED it! I'm almost glad there's not one close to me because it could be very dangerous. I also went to two local shops that kept some of my money too. St. Louis definitely has paper crafters covered with fabulous products. Even their Michaels was better than around here. I came home with a bag full of goodies to use in my Disney albums.

Of course this pic is before I went in so no bags YET. I'll share my projects and haul soon.

CTMH Regional Celebrations

I just returned from Regional Celebrations with Close To My Heart in St. Louis. This is an event held every year for CTMH consultants and it is not to be missed! This was my first year but I can guarantee I will be going again. I thought I'd share a quick pic of everything we received while there and I'll be sharing each project up close and personal over the next few weeks.

Now this is just the product we received. We also got a wealth of information in our business sessions and consultant shares as well as two of the most fabulous lunches i've ever had at an event. Yumm Yumm, we had Italian the first day and Mexican the next. Two of my favorite foods!
