Create a Critter Cards

I'm still getting ready for the Stampede in Dallas next month so I decided to share a couple of cards I've made kits for to do while I'm there. For the ones asking about the Stampeded there is a link on the left hand side that will take you to all the information you need to get registered.

These are 3x3 cards that I'm going to make up into gift sets. The images are from Create a Critter. I apologize the images are a little washed out. It's a really gray day here so no natural light to use. They are much cuter in person.

The sentiment You're tweet came from the Michaels dollar bin and the Purr-fect sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Valentine set. They worked perfect for these two little cards. Of course I inked, chalked, and blinged them both up as always.

I'm entering this in the Cricut Circle Blog Animal magnetism challenge this week. I'd like to thank the cricut circle for choosing my Love Bug card as an honorable mention last week.

If you've not joined the circle you should! I love the online magazine that we get each month! It has some great projects in it. I also just received our quarterly cartridge Everyday Cricut and have already used it. I'll be showing that soon. I have a few more things I want to do first before I share.

Hope you enjoyed the little sneak peak of what I'm working on. Have an awesome day and I'd love to hear from you and what you're working on.

Roxie Jewelry

Today on sweetsassydiva we were asked to create something that was not a layout or card but something different. Well jewelry is definitely a big different.  I found this on a fellow consultants blog and just had to try it. It is so easy and cheap but fabulous looking! See if you can guess what it's made with.

The ring and necklace are metal washer! Isn't that fabulous? You should have heard my husband when I asked for some from his stash. He wanted to know what I needed them for and when I told him I was going to make jewelry he kind of gave me that puzzled here she goes again look. LOL

I sponged the edges and back of the washer with black staz on ink. Using liquid glass adhere a small piece of paper to the washer and then let dry. Then I sanded the edges and inside hole with a file. Cover the top with liquid glass and then plop the bling on. Next find a place it can dry for several hours. If you get any bubbles while it's drying just pop them with a straight pin.

For the earrings I just circle punched the paper and glued it in using the same process. For the necklas you'll want to tie your waxy floss or whatever you're using through the hole and glue the jewel afterward the liquid glass has dried.
The ring base and the earrings came from Michaels. Everything else is CTMH.

Supply List:
Meal washers various sizes
Ring Base
Earring Bases

I hope you like this project as much as I do. I encourage you to try it for yourself. I get so many comments when I wear it.

Love Bug

This is my daughters Valentine Card. All the cuts are from Create a Critter. I have been giving this cartridge a workout lately. I'm making card kits for the Dallas Stampede and have used a ton of cuts from this cart. I'll be sharing them next month after the Stampede so you'll have to wait to see all the fabulous cards I'm making.

Hope you enjoy it and leave me a note about what you think. Drop me a note if you'll be in Dallas as well. I'd love to meet you.

Tilda needs a Hug

This is the card I made hubby for Valentines Day. She is Tilda wants a hug from the Magnolia Collection. She actually had holly tied on her pony tails but I tied pink tiny bows to put over them. The banner is cut with my cricut and Birthday Bash. I spray glittered and inked it to add character and depth. I printed the I and U on the computer. The ric rac was from my stash of trim my mother gave me from her sewing stuff.

I think she turned out gorgeous and hubby loved her pink and all because it reminds him of me. lol
I'm entering it in the following challenges. valentines, Love, and Pink seemed to be popular for challenges so I found several to enter. Thanks for looking.

On the Go 8 months

The next set of pages I used a lot of really old stuff from my stash. The 8 months is some rub on letters and the Explore sticker is on a chipboard circle.

For the title I used the Pooh Font cartridge. Another spiral page from  Graphically Speaking for the journaling and the little lamb is a very old hand paper piecing I did when I first started out. I've always loved paper piecing but with  my cricut it's so much faster now!
Here's a close up of my little lamb. He's so cute!
I know my pages are rather simple but I hope I inspire you to get some of those old photos out and just get them scrapped! Also look through that pile of stash and see what you can use. I know we all have a huge stash and I'm determined to get some of it used up.

Baby Album 7 months

Here are two more pages of my sons baby album. Not a lot of cuts on these two pages. I did the journal spiral page and the 7 emblem from the Graphically Speaking cart. This cart has been fabulous for this album. There is so much on there. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already.

Make a Wish

I finally finished my sons baby album! yeah me. I still need to upload several pages so hopefully I can get that done soon.

This layout is his 1st birthday. His cake had a circus train on it so I decided to use the train on Everyday Paper Dolls to embellish it. I think it turned out fabulous. The animals couldn't be seen behind their bars so I took a creative license and put them in front.

Here's a close up of each of the train cars.

I chose to do three of the train cars so I could enter it in the Circle challenge this week. ;o) I also used the Tattered Angels spray for the spray paint. Hopefully that counts.

I used Birthday Bash to cut the cake, candle, and Make a Wish title. I think they were a perfect match and easy title for the layouts. I spray glitzed all these pieces even though I don't think it shows.

And a close up of each page. Remember you can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you want a better view.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my pages. I'm soo glad to be finished with his album.

We are still buried in snow and two more storms are heading our way. Maybe now I can get a ton of scrapping done. I'm off to clean my room and put all my supplies away and then next on my list is calling cards for the Dallas Stampede, page kits for it as well, and a banner for my daughters room. Let me know what you're up to.

Mini Tilda's

One of my lovely swap friends sent me some mini Tilda's stamped so I could try them out. I was really intimidated at first because they were so small but in the end I found out they're very quick to do up. I did these one night while watching  a show with hubby.
I'm sorry the photos are so bad. You can click on them to enlarge them if you can't see them well enough. I really need to find a new camera I think. The pictures just keep getting fuzzier.
I added some sparkle to these two Angel Tilda's wings and halo. I can't wait to make them up on a tag or card.
I used the same sparkle for bling on this Mermaid Tilda. It was such fun to color  her fin. I just went with the lightest colors I had and went from red to blue working my way through the color wheel. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with her yet.
Well I hope you enjoyed my peek into some of the coloring I've done lately. Hopefully you'll see them made into projects soon. lol

Bildmalarna Cafe Mimosa

I couldn't wait to color up my first Bildmalarna. A group of us ladies on the cricut message boards do a magnolia Stamp Buy & Swap and it was suggested to do the same with the Bildmalarna stamps. I couldn't resist.
She's Cafe Mimosa and I made her up for a birthday card for my mother's 70'th birthday. She loves to quilt and sew so I chose some Cosmo Cricket paper with stitching and some lace that she had given me. I think it turned out perfect for her.
Here's a close up of the image. I aded stickles to her bow and buttons and her whipped topping. The flowers were a gift from one of the ladies that participates in my image swaps. I added stickles to the outer petals for some extra bling.
I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think of my first Bildmalarna.
I've entered this cutie in the Bildmalarna Blog Pink Challenge

Cute as a Button

The cricut circle blog is having a challenge called Cute as a Button and as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do. This will be the last page in my sons baby album. I only have two more pages to do and it will be finished!! Yippeeeee!!
The challenge was to use buttons, at least two cricut cuts, and a stamp. I stamped the balloons and then cut them out. I tied embroidery floss around them for the string and a bow finished them off. Cute in the title, the dog in his adorable hat and the pinwheel all came from Create a Critter. The rest of the title is cut from Cursive 101.

I hope you enjoy the layout as much as I do. I think it's too stinkin cute!! LOL
I have several more pages done that I'll be uploading in the next few days.
