SS Vintage Bliss - Sweet Angel

I am finally finishing up my daughters baby album. It makes me so happy!

I used some stickers and rub ons from way back in my stash as well as some pieces from a Basic Gray card kit that I had left over.

A few close ups if you want to see details.

If you want to see the rest of the layouts you can click on the Baby label to the right of my blog.

SG Blog Hop - Ten Tiny Toes

Welcome to the Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop for September. If this is your first stop, you might like to start at the Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop through each link.

This is another layout for my daughters baby album. The sketch made it super quick to pull together along with Simple Stories Vintage Bliss paper and embellishments.

I couldn't resist using some rub ons from my stash for this photo. The first look we had of my daughter during a sonogram was of her sucking on her toes so it's too cute to see her still do it. That is some kind of flexibility. LOL

I've used the 3X4 cards for all of the journalling spots through out the album and again I used a lot of rubons from my stash to add interest to my layout. The circles were all punched from the 3X4 cards as well.

I chose a sketch from the One Page Sketches for Scrapbooking Vol 1.

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Next on the hop is Lori - http://savingmine.blogspot.com  leave a comment on each blog and one lucky commenter will receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store.

The winner will be drawn on Monday, September 8th which leaves you one week to leave a comment.

SS Vintage Bliss - Cutest Thing Ever

Are you ready for one more baby layout? I hope so.

I love how this page turned out.
I cut out the speech bubble from a  3x4 card and popped it up. The doily and flower is printed on the barn paper so I just added some word labels and wash to it.
The clothes line is one of my favorite parts. It came from the EP bundle of Joy sticker sheet. I added some heart enamel dots for even more dimension.
The quote is a sticker sheet from way back in my stash.
The rest is Vintage Bliss that I've used throughout the entire album.

SS Vintage Bliss - Bringing You Home

Today I have another layout for my DD's baby album using the Vintage Bliss Line. I also did this for my Sketch solutions class with BPC. I'm loving the class and it's really helping me to get this album going. I might actually finish it this summer. LOL

A few close ups. The journalling card is from the SS Baby line. They're a perfect complement to Vintage Bliss and help give that baby touch to the album.

SS Vintage Bliss - Starburst heart

Recently a fellow online friend Isbaha shared a beautiful layout with a stardust Star. She did a quick video to show how she did it and while I've been wanting to try it on a layout I always pushed it aside because of the time it would take. I loved how quick and simple she did it so I set out to try it. i've been working on my daughters baby album so I decided to do a heart.

You can check out Isbaha's video and a picture tutorial where she was inspired at Scrap Your Stash.

Here's my layout. I used Simple Stories Vintage Bliss for my papers. I cut my heart with my cricut and the Artbooking cartridge. It really was  really quick with the help of isbaha's video.

And some close ups. I pulled some really old stickers from my stash as well as new brads, enamel dots, and wood veneer hearts. I love using up my old along with my newer.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and will check out the tutorial and try it yourself. Link back here in the comments if you do. I'd love to come see!

SS Vintage Bliss - Family

Todays layout if for my daughters baby album I've been working on. I used another sketch from the Sketch Solutions class at BPC. I adore the Simple Stories Line and Vintage Bliss is one of my favorites. Even though it's not a baby line it's perfect for a baby album. I'm adding a few touches from SS Baby line to baby it up on some pages.

And a few closeups.
I fussy cut some of the butterflies from the paper for embellishments along with punched some with my Martha Stewart butterfly punches.
The stickers and brads come from the Vintage Bliss collections.

On the Go 8 months

The next set of pages I used a lot of really old stuff from my stash. The 8 months is some rub on letters and the Explore sticker is on a chipboard circle.

For the title I used the Pooh Font cartridge. Another spiral page from  Graphically Speaking for the journaling and the little lamb is a very old hand paper piecing I did when I first started out. I've always loved paper piecing but with  my cricut it's so much faster now!
Here's a close up of my little lamb. He's so cute!
I know my pages are rather simple but I hope I inspire you to get some of those old photos out and just get them scrapped! Also look through that pile of stash and see what you can use. I know we all have a huge stash and I'm determined to get some of it used up.

Baby Album 7 months

Here are two more pages of my sons baby album. Not a lot of cuts on these two pages. I did the journal spiral page and the 7 emblem from the Graphically Speaking cart. This cart has been fabulous for this album. There is so much on there. Be sure to check it out if you haven't already.

Make a Wish

I finally finished my sons baby album! yeah me. I still need to upload several pages so hopefully I can get that done soon.

This layout is his 1st birthday. His cake had a circus train on it so I decided to use the train on Everyday Paper Dolls to embellish it. I think it turned out fabulous. The animals couldn't be seen behind their bars so I took a creative license and put them in front.

Here's a close up of each of the train cars.

I chose to do three of the train cars so I could enter it in the Circle challenge this week. ;o) I also used the Tattered Angels spray for the spray paint. Hopefully that counts.

I used Birthday Bash to cut the cake, candle, and Make a Wish title. I think they were a perfect match and easy title for the layouts. I spray glitzed all these pieces even though I don't think it shows.

And a close up of each page. Remember you can click on the pictures to enlarge them if you want a better view.

Hope you enjoyed looking at my pages. I'm soo glad to be finished with his album.

We are still buried in snow and two more storms are heading our way. Maybe now I can get a ton of scrapping done. I'm off to clean my room and put all my supplies away and then next on my list is calling cards for the Dallas Stampede, page kits for it as well, and a banner for my daughters room. Let me know what you're up to.

Cute as a Button

The cricut circle blog is having a challenge called Cute as a Button and as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do. This will be the last page in my sons baby album. I only have two more pages to do and it will be finished!! Yippeeeee!!
The challenge was to use buttons, at least two cricut cuts, and a stamp. I stamped the balloons and then cut them out. I tied embroidery floss around them for the string and a bow finished them off. Cute in the title, the dog in his adorable hat and the pinwheel all came from Create a Critter. The rest of the title is cut from Cursive 101.

I hope you enjoy the layout as much as I do. I think it's too stinkin cute!! LOL
I have several more pages done that I'll be uploading in the next few days.

Baby Album Continues

I've finally got going on my son's long overdue baby album again. I swore I would have it done by the end of summer but didn't make it. Then I said by his 20th birthday which was Oct 4. Hump, I'm determined to finish it before the end of the year though! LOL Seriously!!

This is month 6 and his Easter pics. I used some embellishments I had in my stash such as the ribbon title, rub on, and the duck stickers.

This page I used A Child's Year to cut out the toy ball and stars. I inked everything and added some pearl bling for dimension.
Sorry about the photos. I used my daughters camera because I wanted to get them posted. It usually does a fair job but the pictures look a little grainy and miscolored this time.

I hope you enjoy following me on my journey and quest to finish this album. I'd love to hear your comments or even just a note of encouragement to keep going. LOL

4 & 5 Months; Baby Album

I did single layouts for months 4 & 5. I must have been busy chasing him and not enough time to snap photos. LOL

The 4 and star negative are more chipboard pieces as well as the bracket. I used rubons for the pride & Joy and 5 months.

Cricut cuts from:
Graphically Speaking - rolodex card for journaling.

3 Months; Baby Album

I have used lots of sketches to make this album go together quickly as well. I keep a binder full of sketches to refer to when I need a little inspiration. I sorted all my photos and pick the ones I want to use then look through my sketches then it's just a matter of picking papers. Since I'm using a line from My Minds Eye the work of matching papers is done for me. I just pull out two or three for the layout I'm working on and wam bam it's done! Great way to get caught up quickly.

I used a couple more of the metal charms and ribbon to tie these pages together.

Cricut cuts from:
Plantin Schoolbook - Scalloped Border
Graphically Speaking - Buttons, 3 and circle border

Month 2; Baby Album

This set of pages I had a hard time keeping with my paper theme since it was Baby's 1st Christmas. Everything in me wanted to break away and pull out Christmas papers but I'm glad I didn't. I used another journaling stamp from Michael's $1 spot. The star is the negative chipboard from the star on the first page and the two is a chipboard piece from my stash as well. Everything is else is my cricut. I love my cricut. It has made this album such a cinch to pull together and such fun! I added a lil metal rocking horse charm and some ABC block buttons to the layouts along with more ribbon.

Graphically Speaking - notepad journaling and circle behind the two
