K5 Graduation with Process Video

I'm working with Real Genius collection in my  Scrap-Room Flavors of the Month kit. I don't have a lot of school photos to scrap but I thought this one from my son's graduation would be perfect.

I started by stitching around the outside edge and then arranging my photo and papers. The dimensions were all chosen for me since I started with the Freak Fast Friday challenge and yes it is fast! I love getting quick layouts done and having a lot of the decisions done for me.

Here's a look at my process

Focus On Sketches: Hole in 1

Today we're working with the June 2016 Free sketch from Scrapbook Generation again.

This time we're going to do a single page again but we're going to include all the elements only smaller.

By cutting the pictures down I could easily get all of the elements on to one page. Since the photos were older and a sequence they were perfect to crop down and really get in close.

Here's a look at the process

Focus On Sketches: SDC Good Times

Today we're working with the June 2016 Free sketch from Scrapbook Generation again. This time we're going to stick to the sketch fairly closely and just change up some of the elements.

Instead of a long title with a banner above it I made a large banner of the whole title from the Flower Market cartridge. I also added some more embellishing with it. Instead of a small photo and journaling block I combined them together into one bigger journaling block from a 3x4 card to hold all of my journaling.

Focus On 6x6: Dad's lil Helper

Today I have another layout I did for my Focus on 6x6 series. It's all about getting those 6x6 paper pads out and using them. I have a slight addiction to them and need to use some up so I have room in my container to get more. LOL

Here's a look at the process.

Chip & Dale

I hope you're enjoy the Disney layouts that I'm finally getting around to sharing. I'm still having fun at Disney but hopefully you won't miss me with all this Disney loveliness!

For the first sketch I did a one page layout instead of two and did some old Disney photos. I'm getting closer to finishing our 2006 trip album. I'm also using up some really old stash along with newer which is always great.

I had a lot of fun creating the title and embellishment. The fire shaker and smore's sticks have been in my stash for several years and i just couldn't bear to purge them. I added some inking and wink of stella to the fire to update it some. The little leather frame is another really old item but it worked perfect to add in one tiny really blurry photo that I wanted to include.

Disney AK Explore

I'm back with another layout from Allison's 6x6 class. I did another one page layout and really took some liberties with the sketch to make it work for my photos.

I pulled some old Crate Paper wood embellishments to finish off the page along with some really old rub ons. I'm loving using up my older stash and how they're helping me to finish up some layouts.

Paper is Carta Bella with a few odd scraps of other paper to do the banner. Large Scallop Border is an EK success punch. Let me know what you think? Do you use 6x6 pads for layouts? I'd love to see if you do. Leave me a link in the comments.

Disney Spaceship Earth - 6x6

I never finished sharing my 6x6 layouts and since I was going to be going on another little Disney trip I thought I'd leave you with some Disney inspiration.
This is jumping to the 5th sketch which I adjusted to another one page layout.  This ride is difficult to get good photos because of the darkness and none of mine were very good but I wanted to document it so I picked  a few of the best and will tell the story. Sometimes you just have to use what you have to get it documents.

I used several collections from Close to my Heart for the paper. They were left overs so it's a perfect way to finish off those collections. The title is from more of my older stash. The embellishments were punched from some 3x4 cards. The sentiments were perfect for my story to be told.
sorry for the blurry photo.

Disney in the Fall with Process Video

Hello everyone! today I have a layout for Scrapbook Generations. I chose to work with a sketch from their Sketches for Scrapbooking one-page sketches Vol 2 book.

Here's a look at the step by step.

If you're reading in email click the link to watch the video

I love fall and Simple Stories always has the best papers so this layout was a lot of fun to put together. I used two different SS fall collections as well as some embellishments from a Echo Park fall line. The photo is of my son. I'm trying to scrap as many photos as I can fine (which is not many) of my son's first year full time with Disney. He's not one to take pics so I have to grab them when I can. I know some day he will appreciate it. LOL

And some close ups.

Disney's Chronicles of Narnia - 6x6

Are you ready for another throwback? Can you believe I even had this one typed up but just never posted it? I don't know what was up with that but enjoy!

I'm back with another 6x6 paper layout from Allison Davis class. If you've missed the other just check back or try the 6x6 label on the side to find all the layouts.

I skipped again so this is for sketch 8 and surprise surprise it's another one pager. I have a pocket page for the other side with all the other photos from the exhibit and a journalling card.
I wasn't too sure what to do with this page when I started but in the end I really like how it turned out and the amount of old stash I used tickles me pink. LOL

The letters for the title are some of my original stash I think but it was perfect for the icy feel of the layout. The same thing goes for all the metal snowflake brads and eyelets. I added in some stamped images to finish it off. I'm really trying to incorporate more stamping into my layouts.
