Happy Moments with Process Video (Crafty Maven Getaway)

Today I'm sharing the companion page to the We Got Our Ears layout. There's a lot of discussion about doing one page layouts with one photo or multiple photos. It seems scrappers are pretty passionate of one or the other. I'm hoping to share my thoughts and maybe a happy medium for both sides.

I wanted to feature the one photo of my daughter with her ears and did that with the last layout We Got Our Ears but I still had 3 more photos from that day that I wanted to include so instead of shrinking them down to fit on one page or not including them I decided to put them on a companion page. I chose to still leave them the full 4x6 and fill the page. I didn't need space for journalling or title since it was on the first page. I did included a lot of embellishments that had wording that fit the story of the photos.

And now a look at the process

We Got Our Ears with Process Video (Paper Issues)

I'm sharing this layout on the Paper Issues blog today. If you haven't checked them out I invite you to come over to the blog and to the Facebook group for some awesome challenges and inspiration every day of the week. You can play along for some gift cards to the Paper Issues store!

I'm working with Shimelle's new Starshine line today. It is fabulous and could be used for so many different things. I knew the minute I saw it it would be perfect for my daughters Walt Disney World internship.

I have more photos from this day but wanted to have a little fun with all the little embellishments and some bits of paper on this page.

Here's a look at the process

I chose a diagonal design and used some of the small printed blocks from one of the papers to start out. Then I added in some stickers and ephemera pieces. I love that the ephemera has printed acetate pieces as well. It's a great way to break up the space in the design and allow your eye to rest.

I stitched across some of the pieces with my sewing machine for some added fun and texture.
Be sure to check back for the accompany page that will include 3 more photos from the day.

Fantasmic with Process Video (Basic Grey)

I created this layout for a challenge for a special group on online peeps but you're more than welcome to take the inspiration and create you own project. I started with a color scheme of orange, yellow, green, teal, and pink then wanted to document something that was no more. The Basic Grey Typeset collection was a perfect color match and since it's announcement of closing it's door it will be my item that is no more. I also spent some time journalling about the changes we've seen and miss at WDW. Fantasmic is one thing that is relatively the same since we started going and one of my kids favorite shows.

Showered with Love (Paper Issues & the Ribbon Resource)

I'm so excited to share a project I made  with The Ribbon Resource, May Arts  and Paper Issues.
The ribbons were all so gorgeous it was hard to decide what to work with but the beautiful banner ribbon gave me my inspiration. I decided to create a Valentines banner to send to my daughter to decorate her room. I ended up using 4 different ribbons from the Ribbon Resource and they're all so beautiful!
