Shimelle Go Now Go (the ScrapRoom)

I'm playing catch up today on my blog. I've been creating but with the holidays I've got behind on sharing. Today I have a couple of layouts I used the Shimelle Go Now Go collection in Novembers Flavor of the Month kit.

First up I documented my daughter getting to vote for the first time. I loved pulling out the red and blues of this collection to really give it a patriotic feel. I used inspiration from Shimelle's Design Decisions class for this one.

Next up I couldn't wait to use this paper for a background. I found this polaroid photo of my son after his first day of preschool sleeping and decided to have a little fun adding embellishments to it to create the feel of dreams running through his mind after such an exciting day. The luggage tag was perfect to add my journaling too.

Shimelle's the Perfect Collection

I've gotten behind in my posting with all the holiday preparation and Black Friday shopping not to mention Cyber Monday! LOL  Here's the first two layouts I've done with my starting points from Shimelle's Perfect Collection Class. If you missed the intro you can check it out here.

For my first layout I did a classic L shaped design with a couple of photos. You can see the whole process here.

For my second layout I kept with a central design so I could include the maximum photos. I got 4 on this one. Harah!!

Today is a Good Day with Process Video

I'm so excited to be coming to you today with a project and process video I created today as a part of a new Youtube channel full of talented, creative, you tubers!

It's also scrap lift Saturday so I found a layout on Scrapbook.com to lift. I knew from the inspiration piece I wanted to pick up the pinks, black, mint, and hearts as well as the grid design. These older random photos of my daughter were perfect to cut down to a 3x3 and then I found a cut apart sheet in my stash to finish it out.

Together Always with Process Video

My Scraps and More is having a month long Sketchathon and I'd love for you to hop over and play with us. Today I'm  hosting and this is the sketch I've created for everyone to follow. To play along you need to use at least 3 different pattern papers from different manufactures and a border punch.

And here is the layout I created with the sketch. I used several collections to document the relationship between my daughter and her puppy. They are quite the pair

Make Way for Ducklings with Process Video

Today I have a challenge for the Cabin Fever Crop at the My Scraps & More Forum. come on over and join us for a ton of fun and challenges complete with prizes!

My challenge is 'Snuggle up with a Good Book' which in my book means scrap a favorite character in your real life and use a book title for your page title. I decided to scrap my daughter which is definitely a favorite character of mine.

She has this thing about ducks; she DOESN'T like them at all!! She had a bad experience as a child that has left her scarred for life. LOL But that doesn't seem to stop them from finding her. It seems if there's a duck around they're going to come towards her. At Disney there always seems to be ducks around and this particular day we were enjoying the flowers when all of a sudden her expression begins to change and then I see the ducks. LOL I told her to chill they weren't going to hurt her and this is the look I got. So glad I captured it because it still makes me laugh today.
