Celebrate 20

My daughter recently turned 20 and I really don't know how it happened. Time has just gone by too quickly. We're always looking for an excuse to go to Texas and I just happened to have a business trip that put us in Dallas on her birthday. How perfect is that?! She brainstormed on some things she wanted to do while there and top of her list was the Galleria Mall and of course cheesecake. We were able to pick up a cheesecake at this wonderful Czech bakery a friend told me about. More layouts coming on that little venture later. The Galleria Mall was fantastic and even though the traffic and construction made it horrific to get there she had a blast so it was all worth it.

I used the Oct Sketchy Thursday sketch at Scraptastic 

I also used the colors pink and gold to participate in Mariannes you tube challenge for her QFF video.

Cricut Artiste Pumpkin Gift Bags

This little gift bag is so easy to make with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and I thought it made the perfect little pumpkin. No glue is needed to assemble it just all folds up. How perfect is that? 

I added burlap through the slot to hold it closed and then used our twine to tie a bow around it. I cut some tags and leaves to stamp and decorate the front from the Artiste cartridge as well. A button and some twine to finish them off and they're ready to fill with candy or small cards for gift giving.

Disneys Back Lot Tour - 6x6

Are you ready for another 6x6 layout. This is from sketch 9 and again I changed it up to a single page layout. I used leftovers from my CTMH papers again too. I'm finishing off several packs of paper and do you recognize those letters. yep using them again and I still have some left. I really think they used to do a better job of giving us more vowels and letters so that they'd do more titles.

I cut the printed clouds from some patterned paper and then found a cloud stamp to use on the background.

Disney Living with the Land - 6x6

I'm back with another layout for the 6x6 class I'm participating in. Be sure to check the past posts for more info and layouts. So far I've done all single page layouts which is a record for someone that doesn't do them often.

I've also managed to finish off several of my leftover papers from collections as well as some older alphabets, rub ons, and embellishments. All of which feel really good. You would think I'd made a considerable dent in my stash but you can't even tell. 

We love to relax in the afternoon at Epcot and do the Living with the Land. It's cool, slow, relaxing, and I love to see all the plants that they grow. Now that my son is working in Orlando he rides it and is watching a particular plant that hasn't had any type of fruit on it. It's driving him bonkers to try and figure out what is up with it. LOL How cool to watch the progress so closely.
